LUKE STACK
Kelowna City Councillor
I have worked and lived in Kelowna for the last 28 years. My focus has been on developing housing for the non-profit sector of the economy. Prior to becoming a Councillor, I was also very active in the commuity serving on city committees, church boards and the Kelowna General Hospital board. I am the Executive Director of a community based organization, and in partnership with the provincial and federal governments, I have successfully negotiated the development of numerous housing projects in the Central Okanagan.
I earned a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the University of Calgary in 1980 and Property Management Diploma from the University of British Columbia Sauder School of Business in 2005.
When I asked people for support in the 2008 election I received these these endorsements: Luke is......
"a problem solver"
"a creative and strategic thinker"
"a person with integrity"
"experienced"
"thoughtful and fair."

The Kelowna City Council elected in 2008 consists of a blend of both old and new members. I am very pleased to see Mayor Shepherd and all four of the the incumbents re-elected; These being Robert Hobson, Andre Blanleil, Brian Given and Michele Rule. These members of Council bring their collective experience to the table. I am also delighted to see Angela Reid, Graeme James and Charlie Hodge elected. It is my sincere hope that together we can function effectively as a Council and make a difference. Thank you for the opportunity to serve on your behalf. Sincerely, Luke Stack
