LUKE STACK

Kelowna City Councillor

I have worked and lived in Kelowna for the last 28 years. My focus has been on developing housing for the non-profit sector of the economy. Prior to becoming a Councillor, I was also very active in the commuity serving on city committees, church boards and the Kelowna General Hospital board. I am the Executive Director of a community based organization, and in partnership with the provincial and federal governments, I have successfully negotiated the development of numerous housing projects in the Central Okanagan.

I earned a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the University of Calgary in 1980 and Property Management Diploma from the University of British Columbia Sauder School of Business in 2005.

When I asked people for support in the 2008 election I received these these endorsements: Luke is......

"a problem solver"
"a creative and strategic thinker"
"a person with integrity"
"experienced"
"thoughtful and fair

The work is finally done at the Society of Hope Short Term housing project on Gordon Drive. This new building doubles the Society of Hope's capacity to provide short term housing to women and children in need. It is a great addition to the housing stock of the City.
