About Luke StackLuke was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta. Upon graduation from The University of Calgary, Luke began his business career with Xerox Canada Inc.  During the last 19 years Luke worked in a number of business enterprises in Western Canada.

After relocating to the Okanagan, Luke joined Business World Computer Center. Luke held the positions of Controller, Branch Manager. Business World, and its associated group of companies supplied office products, photocopiers, computer equipment  and service throughout the Interior of B.C.  

Luke Stack for Kelowna City Council 2008From 1989 to 2007, under the name of The Hannon Management Group Luke and his wife Anne, established management contracts with a number of business enterprises as well as consulted on the development of numerous housing projects in the Central Okangan.

Luke and Anne's  motivation to assist single parents in need of affordable housing was the catalyst for the inception of a housing society called the Society of Hope. His work with the Society began on a part-time basis in 1989. Since its inception, the Society has realized significant growth in affordable short-term, family and seniors housing. The Society currently manages 12 developments providing 356 housing units to the Central Okanagan.

Luke has always believed in public service. He has invested many years in volunteer work throughout the City. He has served on numerous committees and boards including the City Advisory Planning Commission, the City of Kelowna Community Housing Needs Committee and the Kelowna General Hospital Board.

For recreation Luke enjoys music, particularly jazz and swing. He plays 1st trumpet for the Lake Country Big Band. This is a 20 piece Big Band that plays for many fund raising events throughout the Central Okanagan.  He is an avid bicycle rider and enjoys the simple pleasures of the great outdoors in the Okanagan.
